Frequently Asked Questions
Covid-19 Protocol
All clients must be tested prior to their appointment, regardless of vaccination status. You are not required to disclose your status to me,
Masks must be worn in the studio at all times. Please double- mask or wear a N95/94 mask.
I am prioritizing people from NY and the tri-state area (if you can travel to your appointment via car).
If you are traveling via plane and not are vaccinated, you must follow 14-day quarantine guideline & get tested prior to your appointment.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Deposits are made via Paypal. rest of payment is to be made via cash.
When do your books open?
I am usually booked out weeks in advance and try to open my books once my appointment load is lessened. Lately, I have been receiving more books than I can handle so I will re-open every 6-8 weeks depending on the amount of clients I have at any given period.
How do I make an appointment?
Booking link is sent out to newsletter subscribers 2 days before it is posted on Instagram. My booking submissions usually fill up pretty fast.
I also accept email submissions via the button on my instagram profile, however, sending an email does not guarantee you will receive an appointment.
Where do you work?
I work out of a private studio in Red Hook, BK. It is accessible by the F/G trains.
Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
No. If  you do, they will be asked to wait outside.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you do not contact me to reschedule at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time, your non-refundable deposit will be void and you will have to put down a new one for a new appointment.
Same day cancellations will have to re-submit a booking proposal.
If I need to reschedule because of doctor's appointment (rarely happens but is a possibility), I will reschedule you at your earliest convenience.
How much will my tattoo cost?
I always am super transparent with folks about the price range their tattoo may land in. I cannot give a hard number until the piece is done (sometimes sizing and location changes the day of the appointment, and that's okay!), but I will never leave someone worrying about wether or not they have enough money to pay for their tattoo. If someone has a set amount of money they are willing to spend, I will make sure that I suggest designs/placements/sizes that work with what they can afford. The booking process is very communicative and you will have a clear sense of what you are walking into on the day of your appointment.
Do you work with budgets?
Absolutely! I always try my best to work with budgets (within reason). If I feel a design or idea is far out of someone's budget, I will suggest a payment plan or different idea direction. I never turn someone away because of budget.
Can I tip you?
Tipping is not required, but always highly appreciated! Do not feel pressured to give me extra cash.
Personally, I appreciate when clients come with thoughtful gifts! I cherish those forever. I love plants and handmade things! As far as food tips, I have a very special diet so it would need to be plant based.
If you're into tipping in cash, industry standard is 15-20%.
Will I see my tattoo design before my appointment?
If you are getting a piece out of my flash book, absolutely! People who book flash have access to the designs before the day of the appointment so that they can choose before coming in and not feel pressure to make a decision on the spot.
If you are getting a custom piece, no. However, there will be an hour set aside during your appointment time for any detail changes or add-ons. By getting a custom tattoo, you are trusting me and my artistic abilities to bring your idea to life. If too many edits need to be made it will need to be re-drawn and a new appointment will be set
I don't live in NY, can I get your work tattooed by another tattooer?
Absolutely not.
Can I see your flash?
Flash is only available for view once a deposit has been sent and an appointment has been made.
Do you tattoo the work of other artists? Even if I already bought the drawing?
No! I have been experiencing burnout trying to accommodate too many custom requests that do not align with my personal artistic abilities and interests. I am not a copy-machine and would rather not produce these kinds of pieces.
Do you do cover-ups?
Will you add onto my existing tattoo?
If I made the tattoo, absolutely! If not, no.
Do you tattoo over scars?
Can I get a touch-up of my tattoo?
Yes always!!! My personal motto with some pieces is that less is more, If I feel your tattoo will need a touch up I will ask to see a healed photo!
If your tattoo needs even the slightest speck touched up, please let me know.

Flash tattoos start at $200. Most designs are flat rated, sizeable and can be made in different styles.
Skin Paintings are rated at $250 an hour.
Custom Blackwork is rated at $225 an hour.
Larger color projects (5+ hours) are highly favored and given special rates, to be discussed at the time of booking.

Appointment Prep

Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize your skin the days leading up to your tattoo. Please make sure you are staying hydrated and drinking lots of water.
Please arrive to your appointment on time, not too early. If you are more than 20 min late without warning, your appointment will be void.
Arrive well fed and hydrated. If you have a longer session, bring snacks and water to give your body some energy.
Please come dressed with your tattoo placement in mind. Short sleeves, tank tops, shorts, bikini tops etc. anything you need to make sure you are comfortable while you are getting tattooed.

Photos & Media

Permission is always asked before posting photo and video.
I usually have a large backlog of tattoos and there is a chance I will not get around to editing and/or posting your tattoo for a few days after I do it.
Please don't take it personally if your piece is not posted. I tattoo multiple clients a week and try not to flood my portfolio with posts of similar tattoos. Color tattoos and my flash always get top spotlight priority!
If I don't get a great angle, the skin is too swollen or I cannot get proper lighting in the photos, I will not post but always ask for a healed photo for posting!

Boundaries & SAFETY

* Please do not overshare in your proposal form. Some details that aren't necessary are inappropriate and show a lack of respect for my time.
* Deposits are non-refundable.
*No-shows will not be booked again.
* Both client and tattooer have a right to say when they feel uncomfortable. Tattooing is a very personal experience and involves a lot of physical touch. I always ask someone for permission before I physically touch them.
*If I feel unsafe for any reason, I have the right to stop the tattoo procedure and ask you to leave immediately. You will not be allowed to book with me again.
I understand everyone has different pain tolerances. I never force anyone to sit the entire duration of their tattoo. If you would like to stop at any point feel free to let me know and we can set up a day/time to finish.
I don't mind chatting during a tattoo, but if you'd prefer to ear headphones and/or be silent just let me know!
I explain what I am doing to clients at every point of the tattoo session and give people check points and heads up.
I have to take breaks often to stretch and walk around. If I need to stop at any point because of my chronic pain, please understand this.
Let me know if there is anything you need from me or if you have any access needs, allergies or special accommodations you would like me to make for you prior to coming in ( I.e. lighting/noise level adjustments, prefer not to talk, music preferences, body pain or mobility concerns, blood sugar, trauma triggers, etc.). I want to make sure that you are 100% comfortable during your tattoo.
